Has anyone actually weighed their 26 when fully loaded? That is when the boat is full of fuel, water, tackle, tools, passengers, ice and all of the rest of the crap we take with us.
Our boat is an express, which is supposed to weigh less than a Billfisher. Dry weight with Volvo diesel was supposed to be 5,600 lbs. We have always estimated it at 8,500 lbs but that might be a bit light.
I was tinkering with the prop calculators at boatdiesel and 10,200 seems to match the rpm and speed we see in real time.

Bill, the following is from the story about taking an Outerbanks to Alaska.
I had a surprise when I weighed the rig and a certified scale pegged the weight of the trailer and boat at 10, 840 pounds. The gear was in the pickup and the boat had less than 50 gallons of fuel. With the boat loaded, the package would be in the 11,500 to 12,000 pound range. The trailer was rated at 10,000 pounds. I checked the tires, and they were load range D with a maximum rating of 2,405 pounds each. Allowing 1,100 pounds for the hitch weight, the maximum weight supported was 10,700 pounds. I called the manufacturer of the trailer axels and was advised that the axels are rated for 5,500 pounds each. So I bought five new load range E tires, rated at 2,680 pounds each, which would support 11,800 pounds.
I would guess the Express is the lightest of the bunch. But still pretty heavy.

Thanks Peter. I thought my full loaded weight was more than We originally estimated. I believe his boat was loaded pretty heavy with extra stuff for his Alaska adventure.
I'd like to find a lift with a scale so I would know for sure.

I had the time out weighted after Don told me the dry weight was 7,500 lbs My trailer weight is 2140 with my fuel tank emty (we were changing from the gas to diesel) the total weight was 10,450 lbs that is without all my stuff on board I dont think I want to know how much she weights loaded my guess is aroumd 10,000 lbs. How is the diving going this year? We hit the 600 hour mark this weekend. time for an oil change.

I went free diving at Catalina a few weeks ago. Got two nice ones, both were 1 inch plus over legal size.
That's it so far. I need to exercise before getting back in the water though.

When I weighed the boat in Washington, other than the fuel it only had about 100-150 lbs of spare parts from the prior owner and an unknown quantity of water in the tank and heater--my stuff was in the pickup. The trailer weight is the big unknown. It was a two axle Aros. John pegs the weight at 2020. When I replaced the trailer in 99 the Aros Production Order Contract stated "Aprox. net trlr wt 1650 lbs" If Aros is correct, that puts the dry boat weight at about 8,600 lbs. Add fuel (1,200 lbs), two guys (400 lbs), full fresh water (320), gear (150), bait tank water (290), Yamaha kicker (100) and the weight tops 11,000 lbs.
When I was in Canada in 2000 I was with a Skipjack 26 with a Volvo 41 and a Skagit Orca 27 with a Volvo 44 (260hp), Both boats cruised at about 25k and ran circles around me.

I own a billfisher 26 with a Volvo AQAD 40,290 duo prop with fishing gear downriggers and weights half a tank of fuel (diesel).
I weight it on a certified scale it weighed 10,400 lbs.

NO the trailer was 20200 lbs. It's an Aros two axle standard Blackman issue.
