Hit up San Diego bay this morning to scout out the winter halibut scene.

Poked around a few spots for a couple shorts before heading to the halibut money spot. Bait all over the meter and several missed opportunities before Phil gets a hook in one. Ended the day just after lunch with just one keeper that went #6.4.

The fish finder is working like new again. Nothing 300 buck and a couple bloody knuckels couldn't take care of. I may have hit somthing with my transducer a couple month back or it just gave it up after 10 years.

Nice catch Mike & Phil, heard you on the radio. Codding was slow too had to put in my time for a limit of reds and grouper. Did you catch very many bass and what kind of FF do you have, my 582 screen is getting tired!

I've got the 582L and the screen was all snow for the last couple months. Borrowed my buddy's meter and had the same results, tried his spare transducer on a pole and that fixed the problem.

Picked up a new tri-ducer at Phantom marine a couple weeks ago and I back in business.
