12/24 Cod

Gave the halibut a rest today and went for a sure thing, rockcod. Hit the high spots on the bottom of the "9" for nothing then mover over to my emergency spot for 2 quick limits on the bigger Greenspots with a few Bank Perch and a Red to top off the day. On the spot around 9am, headed in by 10:30 on a grease flat ocean.

This Red went #4.7 for a 5 point bump in my cod slot.

I'm off until the 2nd and plan on fishing every other day. The next day will be Wednesday for halibut, cod or calicos depending on what bait is available.

The emergency spot is a piece of flat hard bottom in 370' that never meters well, but always saves the day with a good mix of fish.

I can't take this nice ocean, no fishing mode much longer. Have to get out. I heard the YT were off LJ yesterday. My other buddies say the 9 is still slow too.
