Just pulled my props for the second time after switching to Mobil AW2 grease on the shafts. Went about 75 hours between maintenance intervals and the props slid right off. I use the same grease at work for all the electric motor bearing so I thought I would give it a try on the props, sense nothing else worked for me.

That blue trailer bearing grease didn't work for you? I did my old 571DP gas props with it and after 5 years in storage the props came off just fine, just tapped them and off they came. I will admit I never go cheap with the amount of grease on the splines though.

I don't think I ever tried the one Joe uses. I tried a couple different marine greases and they all turned to concrete after 50 hours.

I used the blue bearing grease and as mike stated it tured hard on me. I now use the triple guard and ever 100 hours I pull the boat and the grease is as I just put it on. The vovlo tec is the guy who told me to use it.
