Nice work Joe. If you can't send some of those fish are way, how about some of that great weather. It blew so hard yesterday, I packed it in and left the bay by noon.

Save us a few fish for next week. I can't wait to get up there and pull on something bigger than a lizzard fish.

Wow,

Now those are some great photos. Nice job guys.

My question is: Do you guys ever NOT catch big YT and WSB.

O ya, most of the time I don't post the bad trips and sometimes I just don't post, even when we catch fish. The key is time on the water and good info. I have been fishing and average of 2 days a week for awhile now. You start to learn the cycles of the fish year after year the fish almost always do the same thing each year. I also take a lot of notes, not just the fish I catch but other peoples to. You would be surprised it’s like clock work year after year. It’s the same reason mike and Zack do so well on the butts. They put a lot of time on the water and have learned the fish they are targeting. Now you go ask me to catch a marlin and I am lost. I have never even put a line in the water for one. I’m not to worried I have friends that only fish for them and have never caught a seabass. I'm sure they would be happy to trade info.

The great thing about this tournament format is the variety of fish you need to target. No one has every fish figured out. You need to mentor the guys that need help and seek out a mentor for those areas that still baffle you.

When I came up with the format 5 years ago I was a rockcod guy. I looked at the format as a way to challenge myself and do a little more with the boat.

Still waiting to pop my Seabass cherry.

Mike, the tournament is alot of fun. Every body that fishes on my boat gets into it. If I have my way you will have that seabass next week. we have the moons in line now we just need a little good luck.

I like the Tourney cuz it drives you to get out and fish! And everyone has been great with the reports and with a little prying, excellant "How To" info you can't find anywhere else. That's the beauty of the site! Nevermind the fact I won't wet a line until the first week in July, but it's sure fun to read all your adventures!
