BLACKMAN, LEONA BELLE
Dec. 28, 1910 to Dec. 25, 2008

Leona Belle Blackman, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home. Leona was a native of San Diego. She loved to tell of all the historical events she was lucky to be part of. In 1927, she met and married her love, John Blackman. In 1938, they built a home in Point Loma, where they raised their four children. In the 1960's, they built their home in El Cajon. John passed away in 1989. Leona was a wonderful piano player. She also was a great cook, seamstress and loved her large family. Leona is survived by her daughters, Lillian Miller and Phyllis (Phil) Cederwall, her son-in-law, Bob Krohn, daughter-in-law, Shirley Blackman, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Son, Don Blackman, daughter Jacqueline Krohn, and son-in-law, Bob Miller predeceased her. Services at Glen Abbey, Little Chapel of Roses, Bonita, Sunday, January 4th, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Sharp HospiceCare, or St. Albans Episcopal Church, 490 Farragut Circle, El Cajon.
