Hit the halibut again today. Started south in IB for 1 keeper just over 7 pounds then worked north from there. Put a second fish in the box fishing the lee side of Zuniga before movin into the bay.

The water down south was very dirty with 5-10 feet of vis, but there is still a ton of bait on the outside of the kelp.

The halibut have got to hate it when that red boat shows up. Nice job!

Lucky for me the water was so dirty they couldn't see me coming.

My son went out to La Jolla on the inflatable via La Jolla Shores. He said launching was easy, no waves. He said they C&R about 80 Barracudas and then the seals arrived. I need to find out the phase of the moon. It looks like Fishing is starting to produce.

Nice catch Mike, we caught a few legally short butts last Saturday off the Del side of Zuniga last Saturday; we measured them and they looked good but I knew by the end of the day the DFG would measure them and be 1/4" short so we let'em go.

I'm having a hard time finding any big fish this year. Looks like I need to go back to Torrey and pay my dues. It's real slow fishing up there but the pay off can be big. I've put more #30+ fish on the boat than sub 30s fishing north but those 7 or 8 trips in-between bites is a bitch.
