I think it's cheap, but that's about the most you can get in this economy. A 1988 Billfisher with low hours (1750), excellant shape, full cover , good trailer, decent electronics in the regular market would have sold for 55-60K just sold for 40K; so I think you're priced right, but there are not that many buyers out there right now and financing is a bitch!

I think that is cheap as well. It is definately a buyers market. Like Jeff said financing is a bitch, but with the age of your boat it may be possible. When we got the real nasty 1987 w 1750 hrs we absolutely could not get financed. we tried everything all the way to 70% down. there reason was they did not have any comps, but I think since your boat is less than 10 years old it may be possible.

I cruised to Cedros with Yale when he had the Patron, and that thing is bitchin. All the bells and whistles.

Yes, I agree, Yale does know how to outfit a boat. I am in no hurry to sell. Just got back from a overnighter to Santa Barbara Island it's nice to sit on the anchor fire up the generator to charge the batteries, run the microwave and squid lights. Days like that make me think twice about selling.

Mike,
Fish report from SBI?

Had a couple legal seabass, maybe 18 lbs. Two yellows in the mid-twenties. A approx. 180 lb Black seabass. Lost a couple of monster yellows on Spectra and 65lb flourocarbon, just couldn't stop them. Limits of rockfish for taco meat and some nice calicos, all released. Beautiful glass day and night. Fished the edge of the reserve. Great Island, hopefully they won't close the whole thing.

Yah, I know what you mean. I lost my fishing partner for the next few years, my son, he is off to college. Can't complain he got a full ride to UC Santa Cruz.

Priced fair and priced to sell are two different things, especially in this market.

Yep, and it appears since his son got a free ride to college, the rest of his family isn't living out of a car just yet, so why give it away!

As I recall that was a pretty good boat, but what do I know. I think I'll go Sand-bass fishing tomorrow evening.
