I've been working at North Island for the past two weeks and snapped a few photos of the Ospreys that are nesting on our site. There is a second nesting pair about a half mile down the road by the ball field.

These guys are fishing machines. Halibut for breakfast every day, followed up by and afternoon snack of Spotted Bay Bass.

Took this photo with my digital camera zoomed 3X
Mom and Dad on the nest.

Zarco,
Must have been difficult digesting that telephone pole.

Excellent photos Mike. You should shoot for NATGEO.

I don't think that butt was legal size, the bass looks close; what's that CalTip Number?

Those are some pics Mike, thanks for sharing!

In my book they are the king of the raptors. We have a lot of them over at Martinez Lake on the Colorado River. You watch them fish for a few hours and you realize that you don’t know much about fishing. They don’t go fishing they go catching.

This week end off and then back to the rock cod. Hopefully this will be the last rock cod trip for a while. It’s been fun and lots of big fish but I’d really like to start fishing for fish that rip drag.
