What size filters (brown, red, or blue)?? I have been using the red (30 micron). Changed the Racor and secondary after 90 hours and picked up 300 WOT rpm. Any idea on the fuel free flow rate on a 40a??

Buffed the negative ground on the engine block. Of course, hidden behind the raw water supply, obstructed by the engine cover, and suffers from the engine cover run off. Big difference. No more cursing the batteries. Made a raincoat from and old inner tube.

I use the blue filters in my Racor. I think it's 10 micron and I change them around 50 hours or whenever they look like they are starting to foul.

Keeping that negative cable clean is a must. It's surprising how little corrosion in that area will give you symptoms like weak batteries or a bad starter.
