Fished out of the Coral again, August 5-6, chipped a prop coming in Friday, fried some seals in the outdrive and limped home.
No action offshore, so did the rockfish thing at Punta San Jose. Great 15 fathom rockfishing. BFD. Must say, I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it were February. Had my 16 year old daughter and my nephew home on leave from tyhe US Army with me so that was fun. They don't know you aren't supposed to rockfish in Baja in August.
Brother came down to fish August 9/10 but we were boatless losers. Put the boat on the trailer and brought her home yesterday. Trying to find a shop to do the outdrive pronto around these parts is a lost cause too.
Since I am boatless the fishing should go FWO soon.
