I spent the morning visiting with two guys I met at the ramp earlier this year. They have a 23' center console they are in the process of converting to a pilot house. They've completed the structural mods and now they're ready to do the rails, electrical and layout of the electronics.

See Glenn, I told you a 42 would fit in a 23'. They opened up the box on both sides and moved the bulkhead forward a few inches and they have the makings of a rocket ship.

That looks like a sweet ride, they do nice work! Very Clean. I personally think the 42 is more trouble than it is worth.

Wow, that is a lot of work. Looks good. I agree, the 42 is not that much more to be worth actually rebuilding the box.

I'm sure they'll join in on the fun as soon as they get her on the water. I wanted to invite them to the fall BBQ but I lost thier number. Lucky for me they are a little better with the paper work and didn't lose my number.

Sorry to stoke an otherwise dead thread but I think they finished their restoration; I saw a Blackman just like that at Dana Launch Ramp last month. The thing looked brand new, showroom condition, and was certainly turning heads. I would love to get my Billfisher to that level of cleanliness but I know it'd just get bloody and grimy in a week.
