Went to the north end of the nine mile bank Sunday. Several bonito (largest was 10 pounds) on Yozuri's and one patty with lots of yellows. Most between 5 and 8 pounds. Weather wasn't bad except for the fog. That cleared about noon. Returned Monday and what a different story. Winds were blowing out of the south at 15 knots or more. About three quarters out we had to slow to 10 knots. Saw birds land and take off and after cruising over found a small patty with one yellow. Again, several bonito on jigs. The high light was two blue whales slowing passing by. Porpoise and sunfish everywhere. Water temp. was 71.
