12/1 sea trials

Sea trialed the boat today after having the engine out over the weekend. No more noise, no more vibration but I'll miss the automatic foot massage while standing on the deck. One minor oil leak to take care of and I hit it again on Monday.

Fishing was decent on the lower 9 with the bigger fish hanging over the rocks. Fished from 9 till noon for 4 Bocaccio to 6 pound and 4 Reds all around 3 pounds. Started off with to light of gear and broke off some nice fish before making the switch to the heavy gear.

Did you try the new sailboat service out of Dana Public Ramp

She's not as quiet as a sailboat, but it's a noticable difference from last week.

Over the year the noise and vibration get worse and we just brush it off and say that's normal. When the fish finder started to shake I knew I better start looking for the problem.

Glad to hear the bearing replacement et alii, worked out well. Better to be proactive than reactive, eh?
