HELP! On Eng problem?

I have problem with my 41 series. I have good rpm with no load (netural) but when I put into gear (fwd) I only get limited rpm. Throttle works to half way point but no rpm increase after that. I cannot figure it out. No Volvo mechs within 300 kms here in North PI. Can anyone help me on this??

Sounds like a clogged fuel filter.
I would replace both fuel filters first.
That’s what the problem was when it happened to me.
Could be other things in the fuel delivery system.....lift pump or ?

Sounds like clogged filters or air leaks.

I had a similar experience with my Volvo 42. Same symptoms. It turned out to be the turbo. The turbo case was cracked so it could not be rebuilt. The mechanic replaced it with a new Borg Warner turbo (he said they make them for Volve) that cost $1190. Volvo charges about $3.000 for the same turbo. Good Luck.
