Oct 2 Got tacos?
Got my winter fishing off to an early start today. After bouncing from rock to rock for a few small Starries and Flags, we found a rock that wanted to give up some of the nice grade reds. All the reds were 3 1/2 to 5 pounds.
Did a little bounce balling on the way back down the beach for one keeper at 23" and a short just outside the jetty.

You know Mike its bad enough to see the ocean flat as a pancake, sun shinning in the background, as I sit at the dock in the rain only one day later, you have to add insult to injury by landing a halibut.
Now I want you to belive this !!!
Thats great Mike Nice job

It's been a long time since we ran into the bigger reds. No mistaking when one of those guy hits your bait.

If it make you feel any better, we caught up to the rain when we got back down to Mission Beach. We got the halibut when the rain started and as a bonus the boat got a pre rinse on the way home.
