Thanks for the Power Point slides offer. I think that the filter that Jeff is going to give me should be sufficient. Still think this issue is interesting since the AD-41 has been produced by VOLVO for sooo long and they must have known about it. Seems like there are some relatively easy and low cost fixes. Wonder why they didn't just add a factory fix.

Anyway, enough about this subject.

Back when I had one I fixed mine by:
Get a valve cover from a 41B.
Get an inspection cover to replace the mount for the breather.
Get a Racor CCV (4500 I think).
Route the port at the top of the new valve cover to the CCV.
Route the CCV into the air filter.
Be done with the bad design.

There were other ways to do it but this ended up looking pretty good and there were never any more issues.
