Default The good and the bad 7/21

Worked the 371 and the 425 all morning to mid afternoon for 2 fish. Moved back to the 371 and worked between the 371 and the 302. Started getting bit 5 miles from the 302. Got just past the 302 at about 5 and turned the boat for home. About five minutes later it went wide open. All four gigs and every bait in the water was getting bit. Put our 10 fish in the box and ran for home.

Now for the bad part of the trip. During the day trolling the kompressor(Swiss) clutch fried and was making as terrible noise. Then after our last gig strike the boat wouldn’t come out of gear. This made for dropping some one of at the dock and putting the boat on the trailer very difficult and to top it all off on the way home I got cut off on the fwy and swerved and bounced my truck off a cement truck who didn’t even feel it. At least I’m still alive to tell the stories. Joe

Damn Joe. Grats on the fish, but wow on the bad luck. Glad to hear it all wasn't worse, could have been.

Wow Joe, great catching but sorry about the end of the day, but it could have been much worse! Feel your pain bro, I once bounced my wife's BMW off the side of one of those big convict hauling freeway trashpicker trucks, they didn't have a scratch and I was $2300 poorer when it was all done. It will get better soon, trust me.

    Thanks for the report!
