    Default WSB 6/28/2008

Wanted to have a nice relaxing day with a few halibut drifts and some snorkeling and Diving. Started with a few drifts near the Bait Barge for a couple bass and white fish. Moved out side the bay and Fished south of the Jetty just off NAS North Island. After some descent fishing waiting for the sun to pop out ran out to the kelp beds for snorkeling and diving. Water 70 Degrees, green, and visibility only 10feet. After diving went back to fishing south of the jetty and caught us a White Sea Bass. Just Barely Legal, was my first and also the first WSB we put on the boat.

    9 - Short Halibut
    6 - White fish
    10 - Assorted bass
    And my personal favorite:
    1 - 6 lb 28 1/2 inch White Sea Bass

Nice going on the C-Bass Mark! Thistime of year when the barries are thick off I.B. sometimes the WSB arejust underneath the the barrie schools. Not huge fish, but from legal up to 20-25#. Might be time to try the IB Kelp wth the right current.
