    Default old blue

Old blue I have a 1715 radar with dome that I will sell you at a great price. Works great. I would still be using it if I did get killer deal on a new NAV-NET

    Hi Joe,

Sorry for such a long delay in reply. I just saw this, today.

Thanks for thinking of me regarding your old radar. I have a few Q's.

    Still got it?
How old is the unit and any idea regarding a typical lifespan?
    Monochrome LCD?
    Four shades of grey?
    18 inch radome?
Do lobster bouys show up on the screen?
Any likelyhood an old goober such as myself could master it?
Does it have auto tuning to get me going till I learn to tune on my own?
I'm usually puckered up pretty good leaving the harbor or the bay in the dark during good weather. Does it help out significantly?

Thanks for any insight you can give me.

It's basically the same unit as mine with a little more power. Monocrome, easy to use and mine picks up the channel bouys and ice chests full of beer and sandwitches just fine. The seas need to pretty nice to pick up the small bouys and birds sitting on the water.

You still got the GPS? I'll take it.

Mike, still waiting to get it back from Garmin. Plus I need to down load all my spots off it. Probably won’t be till after the 1st of the year before anything happens. Another guy wanted it but you had asked 1st.

Brian, it’s easy to use. I never used it out of auto tune. Never looked for a lobster buoy there pretty small if you tune it right on a flat day I'm sure you could see them. You can see birds flying and small marker poles no problem. Radars don't have a life span as far as I know. This units 4 years old, the raydome in 18inches and the screen is LCD gray
This is what the unit looks like. Make me an offer and we can go from there.

    Joe,

The unit is worth a lot more with your spots still on it. You could get more than you paid for it new.
