    Default Really cool piece of Blackman history for sale

    I just came across this on Boat Trader. 1969 Don Blackman dive vessel

    Double planked mahogany... Crazy!

    Looks like it's in decent shape. Double mahogany....must weigh lots.

    I thinkt she was called The Bottom Scracher one of the first boats designed for diving all the other dive boats were converted fishing boats. I dove that boat when I was 18 years old . A slow boat with a great ride.

    Nice to see her looking so good.

    It's amazing to think that Blackman started out making wooden boats. I'm sure that working in fiberglass is not easy, but when you take a look at that boat and then think of the hull/planks/interior all done in wood it's very impressive.

    It would be cool to see a wooden boat being built from start to completion.
