    Default points and a suprise

Fished the island this week for two nice halibut( biggest 18lb) and a nice 5lb calico bass (7lbs by bloodydecks standards). Then out of nowhere this seal pup jumps in the boat. There was no warning, he was in the boat in a blink of an eye. It was the craziest thing. He was on the boat for about an hour just hanging out on the ice chest.

oh ya Jeff. I could only wish that were the case. We made bait the night before and the sea lions were so bad that thay were hitting the side of the boat chasing the squid. We had no less than 25 around the boat. Each year seems to get worse. The poupuation is out of control. They need to sell tags to take care of them like they do bears.... F-ing environmentalists

Cute little bugga. Too bad they grow into such pains in the @r$e$. Nice flatties! Which tasted better the halibut or the pup?

In the future, when fish are scarce, I think we will start looking for seals to show us where the fish are located. We just need to know how to keep them busy while we bring in the fish we caught.
