patties holding YT

We found lots of kelp patties holding YT in the area of 32 09, 117 30- 40 miles south.
Kept the first 10 and released the rest. Seas were flat, IMHO, 2 hour ride back home.

How big were the yellows? Any on iron?

They were 7-8 lbs. We could see the fish breezing past the pattie. They didn't want to bite at first, we were going to leave headed for the 390 when we made on last pass slow trolling. First one picked up a lure, then the rest were bait fish. Allen was fishing with 10 lb line with an in-shore rod. I was using 25 lb line with circle hooks.
