Got invited to fish the Islands yesterday on a friend's Parker. Stopped at Pukey Point and slowed around to the middle grounds. Main fleet was off the north end of South Island but by the end of the morning everyone was in the middle. Ended up with four nice yellows with the smallest around 18 pounds. Three were caught fly lining. Lots of sea lions but lots of boats to spread them thin. Lot's of hot tempers as well. No big schools but lot's of breezing fish scattered around. Patience and drifting worked best.
