It's just so much easier in a small aluminum skiff where everything is within reach and you can see the water pump stream off the back of the outboard, and you don't have to climb up and down the bridge ladder! The nice part is we can store all the hoops in the fish hold when underway and you don't get caught up in them on the deck.
Jeff, I switch to a run dry impeller 3 years ago and have not had one come apart on me like the cheap Volvo impellers. Manufacture is Globe Marine Products.
Highly recommended.

BTW, my wife and kids pull the nets. They like the work out...
