    Default 9/19 Looking for Halibut

With the weather up this weekend it looked like a good time to see if the halibut were still around. Worked off the Hotel Del from 7:30 to 11:00 for 1 keeper and 4 shorts with a lot of raked bait.

With the wind blowing, I had to use twice as much lead as normal to hold the bottom and I'm sure that contributed to the high number of missed fish today.

Moved back in the bay to work the last of the incoming tide for one more short and a half dozen Bass. Called it a day just after noon.

Not bad for a day when most boats were blown off the water!

After a few weeks of laying low and eating fish out of the freezer, I felt the need to get back on the pond and put something fresh on the table.

No easier way to put fresh fish on the table than dredging up some halibut.
