I hope to be able to go over on Sunday morning.

Go stick em Jeff! I'm up here in Idaho, 85 degress and clear blue skies. Would love to get in some trout fishing before I return. See you next week.

Just found out I'll have the weekend off. I'd like to waist at least one day looking for a halibut.

Just got out of the Blackman yard yesterday and I’m spending the weekend getting the boat ready to leave for San Felipe and points south on Tuesday. The trip will take 11 days and we will end up in La Paz and will fly back on June 11. We’ll travel pretty hard the first three days and then start poking around as we head south.
As part of the work done in the yard I added a helium tank for balloons and 12 volt outlet on the bridge to run the kite reel. Hopefully we will be able to find some big fish to test them out on and not just look like a floating kid’s birthday party!
I hope everybody catches lots of fish this weekend and returns safe and sound.

Wow professor,
You are the man! Please take lots of pics so that we can live vicariously through you. Good luck. Hope you get the good weather.
Thanks for the good words Scott. This is the third time I’ve done this trip, but each one is different. It’s nice to spend the whole day cruising the midriff and southern islands and only see a couple of other boats all day. Good fishing.

Like the professor, I too will be in san felipe heading toward the midriff area. I will be on the Captain Viagas or Viagra or somthing like that. We will be gone for a week. I will be looking for the Blackman 26 sportin all of the balloons. Good luck and safe trips to all.

You mean now when I go to East Cape I'll have to dodge your floating balloons there too? I see them offshore up here all the time. Wouldn't it be easier to just to punch in your home waypoint in the GPS than trying to find a balloon trail home? I think the wind and currents move them around too much!
To dodge my ballons you will have to be in an airplane or at least a hang glider. Those Mexican marker ballons are every where.
