    My zinc on the outdrive lasts about four months is that normal.I change it when 3/4 of it is gone is that too soon.This is the zinc at the prop shaft the other zinc at the transom will go 8 or 9 months.

    Are you in Mission Village? That whole basin is what we call 'hot'. Lot's of stray current from bad wiring at some of the marinas. That is what causes those zincs to go so fast. Mine goes in about 6 months too. BUT, I don't mind since you have to pull those props off and re-grease them or else. Ask Mike, we cut off my first set of props (right after I bought my boat) at his shop, and it took lots of heavy equipment to get them off.

    I am in Marina Village on J dock I heard that some of the junk sail boats are hot.It's too bad they won't clean house and get rid of the junk and make room in the marinas.
