    Default Soundproofing Material?

Can somebody recommend a good material for soundproofing the engine room on my Outerbanks? Due to the straight shaft design I have no buffer between the cabin and the engine room.
Also, since I'm posting, any idea how I get my original screen name back? I kept trying to post but I couldn't retrieve my password. The forum said it was sending it to my email but nothing ever came in.
I finally had to register using a different email address.

    Thanks in advance.

Peter - The email address on record must be out of date. Send me your correct email and I'll send you your password.

Some soundproofing materials are discussed in this thread from a few weeks ago:

I was asking about a Billfisher but the same techniques/ideas apply.
