    Default 3/11 more cod/no squid

Hit up the rock pile off Torrey Pines for 20 more assorted rockfish this morning. Starries, Greenspots, Bank perch, Reds, Flags and a few Boccaccio were the catch of the day.

Lot of birds from La Jolla up to Torrey, but no signs of the squid on the surface.

    Default They're Still at TP

Made it up to 32.53.8 117.17.6 @ 730PM; by 8PM it was Full Speed! First one at about 250'; then the rest were between 75-150'. Had 20+ by 830PM so it was a slow troll cleaning back in the slip by 10PM. Beautiful Conditions 2' swell and no wind. I'll be skinning squid for the rest of the week!

Must have been a beautiful day on the H2O. I was out on Saturday on my friend's 28' Bertram (AUDAX) and we had a slow pick on nice rockfish (vermillions, boccacio, and starries). One pig vermillion must have went at least 5-6 lbs. It was nice to fish on another boat for a change. We did see the yellows pop up big time for a short surface frenzy but, we got on it just a little too late as they sunk out quickly.

Took a look at the pictures you sent. That's a nice Red. Been a while since I've seen one like that.
