Thread: Tuna counts are weak lately

Default Tuna counts are weak lately

I'm sure you've all noticed that the tuna counts in the past few days have been really low. Looks like only a few yellowfin are being caught and it appears the only half decent numbers are coming from the 2 day boats. I'm not fishing this weekend but, if I was I'd be baffled about where to fish. Of course every day on the water is different and with several folks saying that they have been seeing breaking fish (yellowfin) out on the ridge it's gotta start biting soon. Somebody's got to be the first to score a good stop on the tuna. Hope it's a BOCA member.

    Good luck,
    Scott

It looks like I'll be hanging on the hook in the kelpbeds this weekend. I still see a few areas I can squeeze a point or 2 out on the inshore stuff.

No sence waisting $200 in fuel on a "hope I catch something" trip.
