The best location is by far SOCAL truck in National City and located on Tidelands BLVD. Call them for the directions and current red dye prices. I'd guess it is about $2.65 gal?

    9/1 it was $2.81, so I grabed 40 gallons.

    Default fuel prices

Steve Blackman told me that the fuel dock in San Diego gave discount for having a Blackman boat. Don't have my boat yet so can't verify. He said his dad worked out a deal with them. has anybody tried that out yet?

    Default Yup its true...

They do indeed give us Blackman owners a price cut for 50 gallons or more. If I launch out of the harbor and think I need 50 gal or more I always fuel up at the Harbor Island fuel dock.

Make sure you use a tank vent capture gizmo so you don't put a sheen on the water. It sounds like enforcement of even tiny fuel releases has been ratcheted up.

Harbor Island fuel dock does a little bait and switch with the price. They'll tell you the fuel price then add on the 8% sales tax after you pump.

If I'm paying $2.80 at the truck stop, Harbor's prise has to be more like $2.60 + the 8% to be the same.
