Yes it's Saturday morning and I'm at work again. Toss in a few 12 hour days and the week is shot.

If we get out of here before dark I hope to hit the kelp on Sunday for a boost in the Calico points.

Charlie, Fire Escape is heading out Sunday. Getting some reports of limits in YT's and Albies outside the 371 and the 390. It's Saturday, it you're out today let me know what you came up with.

Mike, lots of CB at La Jolla. Went out last weekend - not much traffic - and limited out on some nice ones. Anything under 14" got tossed back. Left home at 0700 and got back home at 1230. Perfect conditions and water around 69.

    Russ, where are you???

Headed out Sunday at 0400. Weird, no boats at the receivers, no boats picked up on the radar as we headed out to the 371. Set out the troll lines and began working our way toward the 425. We trolled from 0730 to 1230 without a bite. An eagle eye on board found 4 or 5 patties but no fish. We monitored the radio and listened to some action southwest of the 425. We came into the area around 1230 and got our first jig strike on a feather (mex. flag). Landed one, added a blue/white yozuri and a blue/silver cedar plug and got a triple about 10 minutes later - only one landed. Monitored fish under the boat and decided to throw some bait - one YT. 15 minutes later came across a school of breezing YT and landed another. Both around 8 lbs. It was 3:30 and we decided to head back when we came across the biggest patty of the day. Threw some chum and watched the boils start. We landed three small ones quickly when a buddy decided to cast his 30lb rig. He hooked a 25lb YT and that was it for the day. Got back in at 7:00pm. Final count: 2 albies, 6 yt.

Mike (No Slack) always backs his claims with pictures -we didn't think to take a camera. I left the numbers on the boat but 10 miles southwest of the 425 is pretty close. Action seemed to be in the morning and late afternoon. Radio reports from the 390 sounded promising.

Anyway, just thought I'd share the news of our trip.

    Hi Russ,

The 25 lb YT would have meant more if I had caught it!! How's your boat coming? I heard the latest bad news!
